## What it is

Cheero is a non-custodial crypto tipping platform. A creator signs in with email (magic link), claims a handle, sets a profile, and connects their own wallet. They share `cheero.me/<their-handle>` and supporters tip them directly on-chain. Cheero keeps a 1% platform fee; creators receive 99% of every tip.

## How it works

1. Creator visits cheero.me/signup, signs in with their email (Supabase magic link), claims a unique handle, sets up profile + avatar, and connects a Solana wallet.
2. Creator shares their public page (`cheero.me/<handle>`).
3. A supporter visits the page, optionally connects their own Solana wallet (Phantom, Solflare, Backpack), picks an amount, and signs the transaction.
4. The transaction is broadcast on-chain and validated server-side before it's recorded.
5. The supporter is shown a live receipt page with the transaction hash, status, and Solscan link.
6. The creator sees the tip in their dashboard once the transaction confirms; they receive an email notification.

## Why it's different

- **Non-custodial.** Most "tip jar" / Patreon-style platforms hold funds for the creator and require KYC. Cheero never touches the money — it goes wallet to wallet on-chain.
- **Low fees.** 1% platform fee. Network gas (Solana lamports) is paid by the tipper directly to the chain. Compare to Patreon (12%+), Buy Me a Coffee (5% + Stripe fees), Stripe-direct (2.9% + 30¢).
- **Instant settlement.** A Solana tip confirms in 1-3 seconds. No payout cycles.
- **No intermediary risk.** A creator's funds can't be held, frozen, or lost on Cheero's side because Cheero never possesses them.
